Project History: Prior to the installation, rilem tests were done to establish the porosity of the substrate. The contractor spayed applied Conpro Sheild MX on to the stone substrate at the recommended application rate. Conpro Sheild MX contains siloxane groups that react with the substrate and polymerize to form a long-lasting hydrophobic (water-hating) structure and produces a sheathing effect when subject to rain events.
